Runtime HRMS enables storing and tracking employee salary information throughout employee’s tenure in an organization.
You can add multiple salary revisions to an employee’s salary records. Whenever you revise employee salary, you can specify if revision is due to an increment or otherwise. This marking is important for Increment Ageing Report. Click here to know more about Increment Ageing Report.
To view an employee’s salary details, go to All Employees and search for an employee. From the search results, click ‘Edit’ icon in front of an employee’s name.
On the following screen, go to ‘Salary’ tab as shown below:
Currently effective values are displayed on this screen. To make a change or correction in existing values, simply enter the right value and click on ‘Save’ button at bottom of the page.
To add a change or revision to employee’s salary, click on ‘Add Revision’ button.
Select a month and year from which the change is effective. If this change is due to increment in employee’s salary, tick the ‘Consider Increment’ check box.
If you wish to copy salary details from previous revision to this new revision, tick the ‘Copy salary from latest revision’ check box. This will pre-fill the salary amounts from last revision. You can then change the values and save.
Click ‘Add’ to save the change.
To view history of changes in salary, simply select the date from ‘Effective From’ dropdown. As you change the selected date, the values displayed below it will update. You can make changes to the historical values also. If you make a back-dated change, make sure to run the payroll for all the periods after that date for correct reporting.
In case you want to delete a salary revision, simply select the revision in ‘Effective From’ date and click on ‘Delete’ icon next to it.
