Missed Punch

A missed punch refers to an instance where an employee fails to clock in or out at the designated time in the system. This can lead to inaccuracies in payroll and attendance records.

When an employee forgets to submit a punch on time, they can submit a Missed Punch request for the past date/time using a Missed Punch feature from the Runtime Workman Mobile Application.

Managers can enable/ disable the Missed Punch feature at an employee or at the organizational level in the HRMS Portal. Once it's enabled, an employee can punch their missed attendance by using the Workman mobile application.

Enable Missed Punch at the Organization Level

To enable Missed Punch at the organization level, go to Setup > Requests & Approvals > Missed Punch.

From here, you can configure the Missed Punch Request Approval settings. As per your selection in HRMS Portal, the same will be reflected in the Runtime Mobile Application.

Missed Punch Request Approval consists of multiple options:

  • Disabled - When you select the 'Disabled' option, then Missed Punch will be disabled in the Runtime Workman Mobile Application.

  • Reporting Manager - Once you select this option, the request goes to the Reporting Manager for approval.

  • HR Manager - When the 'HR Manager' option is selected, then the request goes to the HR Manager for approval.

  • Department Heads - If the 'Department Heads' option is selected, then the request goes to the Department Head for approval.

  • Location Heads - If the 'Location Heads' option is selected, then the request goes to the Location Head for approval.

Additionally, you can also adjust the Allow missed punch settings to (n) number of day(s) in past.
